Why 7th Mile

The name 7th Mile is inspired by the call to go beyond what is required — to walk the extra mile with someone in need. We believe real ministry happens when we are willing to:

  • Slow down
  • Listen
  • Show up consistently
  • And choose presence over perfection

Our call stems from two verses:

Luke 15:4-7 and Luke 24:32

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them…”
— Luke 15:4–7

Jesus shows us that every person matters. Not just the crowd. Not just the visible. The one. At 7th Mile Ministries, we believe no one is forgotten, overlooked, or too far gone. We are called to pursue, care for, and walk with the individual — even when it takes time, patience, and sacrifice. Serving the 99 doesn’t mean the one is forgotten. It means we never lose sight of the individual story standing right in front of us.

“Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road…”
— Luke 24:32

On the road to Emmaus, Jesus didn’t rush ahead. He walked with them. He listened. He revealed truth in relationship. This is how we serve — by walking alongside people, meeting them where they are, and allowing God to work in their hearts along the journey.

What This Means for Our Ministry

We don’t measure impact by numbers alone. We measure it by faithfulness, presence, and transformed lives.

We serve the 99 — one at a time.
